INFO 2018 - Villes Hôtes et Format

Après Bagnères-de-Bigorre (2015), Argelès-Gazost (2016), Saint-Lary (2017), c’est la ville de Bagnères-de-Luchon qui sera la ville Départ et Arrivée de la quatrième édition de La CAMPILARO Pyrénées 2018.

L’accueil des participant(e)s se fera le jeudi 19 juillet 2018 de 14h00 à 18h00, à Luchon, Reine des Pyrénées et haut lieu du Tour de France.

La ville de Vielha y Mijaran, dans le Val d’Aran, en Catalogne, sera également au programme. La qualité de l’accueil de ce territoire en 2017, plébiscité par les coureurs, nous a convaincu de maintenir cette ville à nouveau cette année. Ces mêmes coureurs nous ont soufflé l’idée de limiter le tracé à 2 villes au lieu de 3 afin de permettre, à toutes et tous, une meilleure récupération. Ainsi, Luchon accueillera la Campilaro pour 2 nuits et Vielha pour 1 nuit.

Si vous avez suivi la Communication d’ASO ce jour (17/10/17), en prenant le départ de la CAMPILARO vous serez plongés au cœur du Tour 2018. Nous vous ferons également découvrir d’autres cols pyrénéens moins médiatiques mais tout aussi grandioses en termes de difficulté ou d’esthétique.

Notre tracé renouvelé à 70%, au cœur des vallées hautes-garonnaises et catalanes, sera dévoilé le 30 octobre prochain.

Mais, nous avons le plaisir de vous en donner d’ores et déjà les grandes lignes !!

La CAMPILARO 2018 se fera sur 4 étapes :

  • Etape 1 - Vendredi 20 juillet : Etape en ligne de 125 km / 2700m D+
  • Etape 2 - Samedi 21 juillet matin : Contre-la-montre de 15 km / 1000m D+
  • Etape 3 - Samedi 21 juillet après-midi : Etape en ligne de 65 km / 1600m D+
  • Etape 4 - Dimanche 22 juillet : Etape en ligne de 125 km / 2700m D+

L’édition 2018 de la CAMPILARO se déroulera du 20 juillet au 22 juillet 2018, pour un total d’environ 330 km et 8000m de D+.


After Bagnères-de-Bigorre in 2015, Argelès-Gazost in 2016 and Saint-Lary in 2017, it is the town of Bagnères-de-Luchon that has been chosen as the departure and arrival city of the fourth edition of the CAMPILARO Pyrenees.

Participants will be welcomed on Thursday, 19th July 2018 from 14:00 to 18:00, in Luchon, the “Queen city” of the Pyrenees and high place of the Tour de France.

The city of Vielha y Mijaran, in the Val d’Aran in Catalonia will also be part of the program. Thus Luchon will host the CAMPILARO for 2 nights and Vielha for 1 night.
If you have been following the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) communication release today, you will not only be fully immersed on the roads of the Tour 2018 when starting the CAMPILARO but you will also discover other Pyrenean passes less publicized but equally grandiose in terms of difficulty or aesthetics.

Renewed by 70%, this year’s route, going through the heart of the valleys of Haute-Garonne and of Catalonia, is to be unveiled on 30th October.

However we gladly give you a foretaste of the main lines !! The CAMPILARO 2018 will be broken into 4 stages :

  • Stage 1 - Friday 20th July : Road stage of 125 km with 2,700 m of positive elevation change
  • Stage 2 - Saturday 21st July am : Time trial of 15 km with 1,000m of positive elevation change
  • Stage 3 - Saturday 21st July pm : Road stage of 65 km with 1,600m of positive elevation change
  • Stage 4 - Sunday 22nd July : Road stage of 125 km with 2,700m of positive elevation change

The 2018 edition of the CAMPILARO taking place from 20th to 22nd July, 2018 will be totaling some 330 km and 8,000m of positive elevation change
